Should I have my hair in an up style or straight flat down?

ok, i am an african american female with long straight black hair and bangs and i dont whether it should be up or down

Should I have my hair in an up style or straight flat down?

Pictures would be nice to compare to, but I say leave it down. Although your hair sounds like it's pretty either way!! I always leave mine down though, it looks better.

Should I have my hair in an up style or straight flat down?

i think you should put your hair flat down

Why is my straight hair curly?

I'm Asian (female) %26amp; my hair is straight %26amp; fine. But if you look closely, individual hairs on my head are very wavy. Some strands are thick and curly. WHY IS THIS? Isn't someone's hair supposed to be just straight or just curly? I don't do anything to my hair except occasional blow drying and hair spray. No perming, coloring, ponytails, gel, etc.

Why is my straight hair curly?

This should be normal. Every hair has its different shape and form, so it's okay if some of your hair is thicker than others, has natural highlights, or is wavier or curlier than others. I hope this information helped you.

Why is my straight hair curly?

humidity can make your hair curly

Why is my straight hair curly?

Has it always been that way or is this a new development? If it's new, you may want to ask a doctor. Or did you just get a hair cut? I had LONG hair for quite some time. When I finally cut it off my hair was so wavy! I guess it was just weighed down before.

Or, like the other person said, it could be humidity. And the fact you don't put much product in your hair could be aiding the frizz.

Why is my straight hair curly?

It just happens that way, my hair is thick and i have to flat iron it everyday because all the hair underneath is curly or wavy and the top is to heavy to curl all the way, so I either have to curl it all or straighten it all so it looks the same. baby hair underneath sometimes tends to be fine and curlier than the rest of your hair.

Why is my straight hair curly?

some medications will cause what you just described,

Why is my straight hair curly?

It's gotta to be the humidity. I am asian, too. I have the same problem. I did not have a problem with my hair when I lived in CA, but here in NC, my hair is always acting funny from the humidity.

Can i have straight hair back?

i am an asian female, so i was pretty much born with long black straight hair. as i grow up i relize that my hair was thick so i decided to always tie my hair. ever since i had tied my hair for years, it went very wavy/curly, and i hate it because it gets poofy and frizzy and a big mess. now i was wondering that if i grow up, is there any possible way that my hair will get back to being nice and straight?

Can i have straight hair back?

its a possibility. you could always just use hair products to make it straight/smooth...

Can i have straight hair back?

Try straightening it for a while, then maybe it will go back to normal.

Can i have straight hair back?

try changing your shampoo go to a beauty supply and get a fabulous shampoo for your needs !

Can i have straight hair back?

If you're born with straight hair then straight hair you will have. Meaning, just let your hair naturally grow out, cut off the wavy portion %26amp; stop tying it up as much. Instead, clip it with a butterfly clip if your hair gets in the way. Even after you wash your hair, don't tie it up constantly...it will stay straighter that way. If you want perfection straight hair then there are flat irons and japanese hair treatments you can get done.

Good luck! : )

Straight hair is in..So how to??

I have heard that flat irons harm or cause damage to ur hair cause of the heat they produce so what about permanent straightening? My friends say that it will also cause severe damage to hair...So then what about the celebrities out there...how do they manage it?Not only that many of my friends in Uk and U.S have done it beautifully. They never said anything about hair fall or anything...Tell me more about relaxing and hair rebonding.... Is it because they go to cheap salons some people get hair fall due to rebonding?

Straight hair is in..So how to??

heat is the most damagein thing to yer hair......except for a relaxer/perm. stick to the flat iron girl, you can go to a beauty supply store and get a thermal tool protector. i use glossing polish by procclaim and i have no problem with my hair and since i do hair, i have on of the top of the line, very hot, irons. a relaxer can make your hair break off, and be damaged. and if your stylist dont know what shes doin, you can end up with chemical burns, bald spots and half straigh, half not straight hair.

Straight hair is in..So how to??

Straightning your hair will only damage it if you straighten it more than once a day.

CHI is a very good staightner, but is expensive.

I recommend it though!

Straight hair is in..So how to??

I have wavy hair naturally, and have alot of success blowing it out with a really super wide round brush. It comes out "poker straight" - just make sure you use a straightening product before you blow it out, and do it in sections!

Straight hair is in..So how to??

ghds are brilliant straightners i have naturally waved hair and use these u can buy protective sprays which stop the heat from the irons damaging your hair i use mine all the time and my hair is in great condition.

Straight hair is in..So how to??

I have wavy hair that has to be straightened to look good. So here's the best way to keep your hair nice but still straighten it. Use a nice straightener not a cheap walmart brand. DO NOT straighten your hair wet! (it fries easier that way); also you can buy products that will help protect your hair when straightening it from a nice hair salon, try Bedhead products or Toni %26amp; guy. if you have really wavy/curly hair, first blow dry it using a defuser, a low heat (cool or warm will work well) and a flat brush, then follow up with the straightener. Doing these things will keep your hair from falling out and will also keep it looking nice and shiny while still keeping it idealy healthy! hope i helped!

Straight hair is in..So how to??

I wavy hair and I straighten my hair nearly every day,

I have a CHI and it's expensive but WORTH IT

when you buy one of those $40 ones its just a waste of money cause you'll just throw it out when you realize how bad it is,

they use CHIs in the salons too,

anyways if your worryed about damaging your hair just buy a bottle of CHI heat protection spray!

Straight hair is in..So how to??

i always use straighting iron.my secret is not to keep it in one spot! they sell some oil in Sally's beaty supplies its a pink bottle and it protects you hair when straightening it, you put it on before and after...its called "IC hair polisher and heat protecter"! (its a clear pink bottle)

check the website for a store thats near you!

Straight hair is in..So how to??

Flat iron does harm your hair tremendously. But permanent straightening cause even more, and is not even permanent, after a few months, it will fade. Permenant straightening is 100% chemicals...Basically. Which will dry out, make unehealthy looking hair, tons of split ends, and dull. If you like the straight look, after you wash your hair, get a brush and a blow dryer, and straighten it like that! Its so much less damaging to your hair!

Check out this link to get some tips for hair...

Straight hair is in..So how to??

well with the hair straightening you can either flat iron or use a chemical. u just need to know how to care for your hair when you use any type of product on it. just make sure that u wash and condition your hair at least once a week and keep your ends clipped. and if u don't want to do it at home just go to a pro that will help nurture your hair as well as make it look fabulous!

Straight hair is in..So how to??

Use a straightner with ceramic blades to stop the frizz. My aunt gets her hair chemically straightened every year because her hair is really frizzy and big. her hair looks gorgeous, but it's not for everyone. Her hair does NOT fade, split or look dreadful in a few months!!! Her hair is even more shiny and she's learnt to look after it properly.Trends come and go, in a few months curly hair is probaby going to be in, what will you do then? Imagine the regrowth after your hair has been chemically straightened!! My advice is to use a ceramic blade straightner, use straightning shampoo and conditioner and ALWAYS use a heat protection spray/gel before your straighten your hair. The straightner will burn the product rather then the hair. Good luck.

Straight hair is in..So how to??

Just make sure you get a decent ceramic straightener, and use a heat protectant on wet hair and blow dry it before you straighten it.

Easy straight hair?

I straighten my hair. But, straightening it takes FOREVER since I have such thick hair. Is there anything I can do while I blow dry my hair to make it so it's a little straighter before I straighten it with a flat iron? Maybe there are some hairstylists out there who can help. How do you guys get it so pin straight right after blow drying???? It drives me nuts!! Please help!!!

Easy straight hair?

Washing your hair the night before and allowing it to air dry, depending on your hair, could make it straighter. When I blow dry my hair it is a mess, but when I air dry it comes out perfect.

Easy straight hair?

buy an attachment for your blowdryer(make sure it will fit first) it's kind of like a pick on the end of your blowdryer. so your 'combing and drying in one step' It takes a lot of the curl out for you

Easy straight hair?

Try using a hair straighting gel on your hair before, you blow dry it and use a low setting(cool) on your blow dryer, not high.I wish i had your problem, my hair is straight, i'd like some body in it. To get body, I have to dry it upside down, so try to hold dryer straight down on your hair, and use a large round brush, made for blow drying and dry sections at a time.

Easy straight hair?

I have very thick hair too. I think I have every strand that I was ever born with. I takes for ever to straighten/dry even with tricks but what works best for me when I do it myself is...

1. I apply a leave in conditioner or lite hair oil-I love aveda products.

2. I part it off in 4 sections (front to back/side to side) and clip down.

3. Blow dry 1 section at a time 1 row at a time w/ round roller brush with a dryer that has a heat concentator nozzle on it.

4.I usually try to get a trim every 4-6 wks. (If your hair is longer that 8" layers are nice/easy to maintain/%26amp; gorgeous with/without color).

This process still takes anywhere from 30min-1hr but I notice it cuts down on flat iron time, if any at all.

When I blow dry freestyle I tend to get a puff ball and look like simba (from lion king). It takes forever to dry and even longer to straighten! No other short cuts....sorry!!!

I have straight hair, and I want to know some cute styles for straight long hair??

i have loong straight hair and i like to do different things to it like curl with a curling iron, or braid it and make it wavy and things like that. but i want to know if you guys know some cute hairstyles, maybe something you guys do, cause i want to make my hair a bit different, and also ways to put up your hair that look good. any suggestions?? thanks guys! =] %26lt;3

I have straight hair, and I want to know some cute styles for straight long hair??

taking about a 1/2 inch to an inch of hair from each side

of your face, pulling it back, combing it, then snapping it in place with a barret is simple and adorable, also very popular.

it looks ecpecially cute if you do that, THEN curl it.

I have straight hair, and I want to know some cute styles for straight long hair??

wave or curl it and put in like a half updo or bun...like half ur hair down,...then do like a messy bun or pony thing on top wit like shorter tendrils in tha front..:) thats what i do cuz i got long semi straight hair

I have straight hair, and I want to know some cute styles for straight long hair??

If you have side bags, I would put my hair in a half pony tail and keep my bangs down!

I have straight hair, and I want to know some cute styles for straight long hair??

Try doing a poof and put your hair up in a ponytail. Then take the ends from the ponytail and use a curling iron to curl it. It looks so beautiful when you go out to any party and it looks professional!

I have straight hair, and I want to know some cute styles for straight long hair??

scrunch it and put it up in a pony tail.

or just side part it and scrunch it.

also you just answered my question about myspace... what exactly should i google search for?

I am using a product called Glatt to straight my hair, it works very well, but is it dangerous?

It's a creme that i put on my hair for 20 minutes, after that i rinse the hair and magically they become straight for about a month. Sometimes i still smell the chemical products in my hair, are they dangerous for my health?

I am using a product called Glatt to straight my hair, it works very well, but is it dangerous?

not only for for health but your hair too, be careful my cousin used something like that all the time and then she noticed her hair was like a rubber band really stretchyy then after just a week or two the hair would just break off like 4 inch away from her scalp... she talked to my mom about and the chemicals had i guess washed away the natural chemical that holds hair together

What conditioner and shampoo used for curly hair to make it straight?

I have curly brown hair and I want to make it straight black hair. Any suggestions? If I iron my hair, then it should be done daily which is such a waste of time.. and pretty annoying at times.

What conditioner and shampoo used for curly hair to make it straight?

Come on, embrace your hair =)

Anyway, about the color, if you want it black, have it colored by your colorist or by yourself. Try L'Oreal or Garnier.

To make your curly hair more manageable, use shampoo %26amp; conditioner with lots of moisturizer. Try looking for products with olive, honey, eggs or yoghurt.

Deep condition once a week to give your hair more 'weight'.

If you want to skip daily ironing, try chemical rebodnding. But make sure your hair is in healthy condition and you need to take extra treatment afterwards.

Last but not least, never ever iron your hair without giving it serum or heat protector first to keep it healthy and to avoid frizz.

Products to try: Kerastase Oleo Relax, The Body Shop Straight Serum, John Frieda Frizz Ease.

What conditioner and shampoo used for curly hair to make it straight?

loreal serum and the bosy shop serum are good options. to make it black you will have to colour your hair as no kind of oil or any such thing will make it naturally black.

What conditioner and shampoo used for curly hair to make it straight?

I had straight hair right up until 3 years ago. I had a bad perm and it was over processed. I shaved it off and then it grew back so curly..I also have dark brown hair but I felt it looked so dull. Trust be black makes you look hard.. I went for a chestnut brown which has some nice aurbun highlights.. Both curly and the colour looks great..Just try the colour.. Trying to straighten hair is annoying.. And to Think people pay heaps to have curls..we save on money and look hot..

What conditioner and shampoo used for curly hair to make it straight?

rejoice

What is the best shampoo to use for straight thick hair?

My hair get greasy easily. I need a new shampoo for straight thick hair. I want the scent to be a good smelling scent thats strong and last all day. Because my hair is so thick it is a little hard to wash some shampoos out. I also like conditioners those can be real tough to wash out. Any suggestions??

What is the best shampoo to use for straight thick hair?

I use pert plus, it is good stuff.

What is the best shampoo to use for straight thick hair?

Sunsilk the purple bottles shampoo and conditioner

What is the best shampoo to use for straight thick hair?

ecrinal women shampoo ( found in pharmacies ) or pregaine shampoo

What is the best shampoo to use for straight thick hair?

I use pantene along with the brylcream Hair cream.Off course you can't use the brylcream because it is for men but you can try some other hair softners along with your shampoo.Try using a good conditioner for better results.

Why not try a new style on your PC first and see if it fits you or if you like it or not. Hair styles cuts and dos will let you do that.

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

I have naturally straight, thin hair, about three inches past my shoulder. How should I style it in the mornings to make it look full and volumous?

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

Blow dry it upside down everyday with a big round brush to give it soem volume.

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

scrunch it with mousse and hairspray

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

try sprunching it with sprunch spray. it quick and easy. and it gives hair more volume.

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

when you get out of the shower put either gel or mouse all over.. and blow dry it! it gives more volume and make it look thick and full.

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

While blow drying your hair, use a brush or comb to brush your hair towards the back of your head, and then brush it towards the front of your head, so that your hair is in your eyes. Keep doing this until your hair is completely dry. It works for me.

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

There's an article in the August issue of Seventeen that tells you how to get a perfect blow-out and it works really well. I tried it, and my thin straight hair was much fuller. You should try it and see if it works. If it doesn't, go and buy some volumizing mousse and hair spray.

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

Use rollers over night to give volume and curls.

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

Set it on large rollers and comb it out in the morning.

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

If you take a shower every morning, when you get out, put in an anit friz cream(this will make the curls stay longer and more volumized), take the bottom layer of hair and curl it. Once the bottom is taken care of, do the top layer. (Bigger curlers for bigger curls and vice-versa.) Once that's done, spray your hair with strong hairspray and let air dry. If ur in a rush then blow dry but it looks better natural.

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

Have a stylist to give some layering to your hair. Use a volumizing shampoo and blow dry on yr roots with yr head down. You can style your hair in by adding a little wax at just the ends.

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

I have straight, thin hair, and this is what I do. Use a good conditioner that will not weigh your hair down (I use Crema by Terax). Then use a really good mousse that has a thick texture to it, almost like shaving cream (I use Cristalli Illuminating Molding Mousse by AlfaParf) and dry your hair in sections using a round brush. Use a CHI iron just on the ends to smooth it out. Then get yourself a teasing comb. (Sally's Beauty supply $2.50) and take small sections and tease them going against whichever way you part your hair. Smooth it down with your brush, but do not comb out the part that is teased. Finish with a good, weightless hair spray like Sebastian Shaper Spray. Teasing gives you that much sought after volume, and it will hold. You can tease to get volume WITHOUT getting the "I'd like to thank the Academy for this Country Music award" look. I promise! Hope this helps you!

How should I style my straight, thin hair to give it volume??

There is this product by "Big Sexy Hair" and I believe it is calles root thicking. But all of there products work REALLY well. So I would but product (big and sexy hair) in your hair and then when you blow dry, Use a Round brush, and blow dry from the root to the end, making sure that when you dry the root you hold it up. This should create volume. Also A layered hair cut will help.

How can you give short/straight/fine hair a little volume/thickness?

Im a guy and my hair is just straight/flat. I dont want curls all over but just a little volume/thickness/wave to it without going to a salon, just something i can do in the morning. thanks.

How can you give short/straight/fine hair a little volume/thickness?

After you wash your hair put moose in your hair. then brush hair forward and blowdry leaning forward. then brush back.

How can you give short/straight/fine hair a little volume/thickness?

try the new sunsilk i bought it and it is really good.

How can you give short/straight/fine hair a little volume/thickness?

bend over and blow dry your hair from the roots

How can you give short/straight/fine hair a little volume/thickness?

Next time you get your hair cut, ask for layers. Also, change your part from day to day.

How can you give short/straight/fine hair a little volume/thickness?

choose a product designed for volume...wash your hair apply the mouse/gel and blow dry upside down. id also consider talkin (or changin) your stylist...the cut really matters!

How can you give short/straight/fine hair a little volume/thickness?

I am a female and I have always had baby fine, hair, just laid flat on the head, no matter what I did, blew it dry, moussed it, gelled it and gooped it.

I got some shampoo from QVC, by Nick Chavez. I used that and the conditioner. It is not cheap, but it does a long way, I skimp when I use it, but I can't believe the difference in my hair.

People can't believe that it is the only thing I am doing different, my hair has some body and doesn't just lie there. It looks and feels thicker. I love it.

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

I was pretty much born with the worst hair ever, and i will not be getting my natural hair back anytime soon.

i have tried everything

Relaxers

Japannese hair straighting (most recently)

%26amp; Chi straighteners

the relaxers are to damaging and after i wash it for the 1st time its pretty much back to normal, except my roots arent as curly.

Chi straightners - damaging my hair ALOT and i still don't get the straightness i want

Japannese hair straighting - my hair came out wonderful, but again, after i washed it, it was a LITTLE easier to manage and when i blew it out, which pretty much took me the same amount of time it would before i got it done, i got the same results.

here are some pictures of my hair

http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k43/hc...

it looks OK but when you touch it it's kinda gresy, kinky, nappy, stiff,

is there any other things i can try?

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

I can't recommend enough the book "Curly Girl" - the care and feeding of curly hair.

It's informative and funny, with lots of great homemade treatments for your hair.

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

try dove theropy it works great and makes it smooth

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

as stupid as it sounds, try that brush that spins. i'm so sorry i can't remember the name. but google "hair straightening brush". my friend bought it from the infomercial and she has the absolute WORST hair to deal with. it takes a while to do, but there are no chemicals or anything like that. just brush through your dry hair and it really really works. for your hair i'd say it would take about an hour or so but you'd only have to do it a couple times a week.

good luck!

oh and ps, it makes your hair look and FEEL silky.

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

Brush it and wet it. A LOT.

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

Try Tresseme' the Gelatin kind or the Silk and protien kind. I us eit and i have wonderful hair. Or try the Grnier Sleek and shine. It really works. It wroked for me.

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

try pantene. the one for women of color though since your hair is nappy and also get the cream and apply it while your hair is wet then blow dry it. it should make it soft and smooth but if it doesnt then you need a miracle gurl!

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

wow, your hair looks a lot like my hair! it gets really poofy when you try to straighten it, right? well, i would try using some heaving conditioners like john frieda and pantene pro-v. using three step systems (like, shampoo, conditioner and serum) help to condition your hair to make it softer and have less flyaways when you straighten it. i like to blow dry my hair first, and then straighten it with a ceramic flat iron on the highest heat setting. but i think you should also embrace your hair. people tell me that they like my wavy hair because it looks natural and compliments me. you have your own unique hair, and it's not always going to look like those girls who were born with natural straight hair! once you accept this fact, you'll find styles that will match your hair and you'll start to love your hair. hope my advice helped.

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

your hair is broken and damaged. you should AVOID relaxers and straighteners until your hair grows back healthy. embrace the curly hair for a few months.

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

TRY USING CONAIR STRAIGHTENER WITH TURBO HEAT IT WORKS MIRACLES ON ANY KIND OV HAIR AND IT DOESNT DAMAGE YOUR HAIR THAT MUCH! TRY TO ALSO USE A PROTECTIVE CREAM WHEN U STRAIGTHEN YOUR HAIR!

Straight Hair Help! PLEASE!(pictures)?

Use Loreal Paris!!!

How do you scrunch super straight long hair without it being frizzy?

I really want to know how to scrunch my hair. everytime i try it just ends up straight and frizzy...help!!!

How do you scrunch super straight long hair without it being frizzy?

Tips on scrunching hair

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2007/...

How do you scrunch super straight long hair without it being frizzy?

Well, scrunching is made basically to enhance curly or wavy hair. You should just curl your hair.

Dont want bed hair, but dont want it straight either?

Ok, so my hair is pretty thick and when I wake up in the morning I get these "dents" in my hair, kinda like bed hair. Imagine my hair looking like an "S" if you will. :( I do not want to straighten it either because I have an oblong face shape, really straight hair makes my face look longer. What can I do to get rid of the dents without making my hair really straight? I'd like to retain some volume and the straightener takes that away.

Dont want bed hair, but dont want it straight either?

I have thick hair also and it's long. I've been washing it at night and pulling it back in a pony tail, putting 3-4 hair ties in at different places. When I wake up, it's straightened, and almost dry, but it still has volume. Good luck

Dont want bed hair, but dont want it straight either?

before u go to sleep braid ur hair!! you can do anything with that!! plus whe u undo the braids ur hair isnt puffy but SHINY!

Dont want bed hair, but dont want it straight either?

Definitely braid your hair! that's what I do and it looks really cute. Good luck! =)

Frizzy hair into straight hair?

i have layer hair. the top part is perfectly straight but the underlayer part is so frizzy. after i take a shower, it gets frizzy right away. i have permed it, bought so much straightening shampoo but it never works. i don't want to damage my hair anymore because it makes it very dry. i need to make my hair straight but i don't want to use the blowdryer or iron.

Frizzy hair into straight hair?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Frizzy hair into straight hair?

If you buy a Chi it wont damage your hair as much as the other straightening irons, and it works well. Other than that not sure. I've always had a slight frizz to my hair and that is the only thing that makes my hair look straight and silky.

Frizzy hair into straight hair?

a ceramic straight iron tht also steams...they are very expensive though...like $80.00

Frizzy hair into straight hair?

if your want stright hair your not going to get it without at least blow drying it. if your hair is damaged try using products to make your hair healthy. my hair is very frizzy/ curly if i dont use a flat iron. you should go to a salon and ask if they have a reconstrustor and hydrator. i use Joico Kpak Deep-Penetrating reconstructor and then the intense hyrdrator along with a strightening shampoo/ conditioner. the first week you use these products you should not use any other products. also only wash your hair every second or third day. over washing can cause your hair to become to dry. after using these products for at least a week or two you should notice a change in your hair then you should try blow drying your hair in sections with a brush. this will make your hair stright then if you still have frizzies you a small amount or pomade or friz serum.

Stick straight hair not so pretty, i need it straight but beautiful?

i have a prety good straightner it works just as well as a chi, just not namebrand, its a tourmaline. anyway i use it but it makes my hair like stick straight insteadof whispy straight and pretty like that, any suggestions on how to get that great hair?

Stick straight hair not so pretty, i need it straight but beautiful?

Blow dry it straight with a round brush and then use the strightener to iron out any frizzies you have.

Stick straight hair not so pretty, i need it straight but beautiful?

buy a curlling iron try something new.

Stick straight hair not so pretty, i need it straight but beautiful?

Use some manipulator by bed head. It will give it a pieced look. You can get a knock off brand at Sally's.

Stick straight hair not so pretty, i need it straight but beautiful?

i use Pantene Smooth %26amp; sleek %26amp; glossy straightening gel and let me tell you... it works wonders... And its a coincidence that i have a tourmaline just as well as you do... all i do is before i straighten my hair when it is dry, i rub a dallop of the gel in my hands and they spread it all over my hair. Then, as i am straightening my hair, i gat the "whispy straight and pretty hair" that i assume you are wanting.

Straight hair without flat iron?

First off, I'm a guy, and I can't really be bothered to use a flat iron. I have in the past, and it took too much time. However, I've tried letting my hair be natural (wavy,) but it dosen't work very well for me (it just puffs up and forms cowlicks and stuff.) I'm don't intend to use any chemicals or anything on my hair either. So, my question is, can I get straight hair just by using straighening shampoo/conditioner? I guess I could also blow dry it if needed...

Straight hair without flat iron?

Simple answer is no. Cut it short and blow dry is the easiest without using chemicals or irons.

Straight hair without flat iron?

I agree blow dry is an alternative. i will not damage your hair but it will last you about two weeks depending on how you keep it.

when you shower cover your hair.

just dont get it wet.

Curly to Straight Hair?

I'm a guy and I have curly hair. I don't like it at all. I want it to be straight. I've tried straightening it but its not long enough. It is only to like my nose. I can straighten it on the front but the back is too hard. All my friends at skewl tell me I should have straight hair. What can I do to make it straight.

Curly to Straight Hair?

Straight it .

Hair-dos for straight hair?

Im having a party tonight and need some cute hair-dos that i can do with straight hair. My hair goes to the middle of my back.

Hair-dos for straight hair?

when ur done showering put in moose(not sure if i spelled right) in ur hair and make it sorta wild if u have bangs leave them straight

Is your hair super straight?

if so, you might be able to help. i have super straight hair with side bangs and layers at the ends.

i basically want my hair to:

be shiny, frizz-free, and sleek

OR

be curly and STAY curly

OR

be soft, wavy, and shiny.

my hair is extremely hard to curl, and it is frizzy at the top. i have a ton of curly products, wavy products, and straight products (all my moms). i can use them freely, but i need to know-

how can i make my super straight hair one of the styles above?

please answer one of the styles and be specific!

Is your hair super straight?

hey !

well for shiny, frizz - free %26amp; sleek hair always blow dry yur hair straight out of the shower, to avoid damage of yur hair blowdry on a middle heat setting if yur hair dryer has that available. Use a frizz- free serum in the spots yu need only, too much makes hair greasy %26amp; constantly look wet. A good way to apply it is to put it in yur hands first then run it through yur hair so it applies evenly easily. Divide yur hair into sections and clip each section up. This way yu can give yur attention to doing the best job for each part. When done if yur hair is fuzzy smooth it down with a smoothing serum or lightly hairspray it then use yur hands to pat over it. If yu want to go for an ultra sheek look yu can always use a straightner so its dead straight. For shiny hair put in a shine serum %26amp; for a night time loook yu can buy shimmer spray that isnt actual glitter ( cause that would be difficult to remove from yur hair ! ) but sparkles just like it !

For hair thats going to stay curly use a curling wand. They create ringlets, the longer yu hold yur hair in the wand the tighter and higher the curls become. If yu twirl yur hair around the wand closely together it becomes like a small tunnel if yu put space between each loop its more of a loose ringlets ( which i personally think looks better ; ) ) Section the hair off %26amp; clip each bit so yu can quickly curl each piece without having to search through yur hair for pieces that go together. But the trick to keeping those curls in is spraying the section yur going to curl with hairspray BEFORE yu put it in the wand, %26amp; to be EXTRA careful its going to stay put, spray it AFTER as well. This will definately stay, but dont go too overboard or yur hair will look %26amp; feel like straw. For loose curls that are similar to the soft, wavy %26amp; shiny style yu described do the same as for curly hair but yu could use a larger thicker curling wand and dont spray with hair spray afterwards, then gently brush the curl with a comb or brush and it will become a wave, continue this throughout yur whole hair. Another way to have luscious wavy hair is to attach a defuser to yur hair dryer %26amp; when yur hairs wet wrap it around the defuser and dry it, when finished it will be dry in a wavy / curly style, also yu can use a barrel brush by wrapping yur hair lightly around the barrel brush and drying it. Finish all these styles with shine spray for that extra glow to make yur hair look really healthy.

good luck ! : )

Is your hair super straight?

after you wash your hair get curling mouse put it in damp hair scrunch hair then let dry

Is your hair super straight?

I get the same thing.

but using hair products helps.

like, i live bed head as far as keeping it straight. and a chi straightener make really pretty curls and keeps if straight.

i like bug sexy hair for curls. spray it before and after you curl it.

Is your hair super straight?

for the 1st one - put antifrizz products wen hair is wet, then blow dry straight, then put a shine spray

for curly- get a perm or put some kind o curling spray in dry hair, curl then spray again and dont seperate until totally dry, then hairspry a ton

third style- do the same things as above, but use bigger curling iron hope i helped :)

Is your hair super straight?

Go for the straight hair, you can curl your hair or make it wavy on a temporary basis.

I have very straight hair and have had many perms...stay away..they are awful when they grow out, you have to either choose to re-do them or if you are me cut that stuff out and try again.

Straight is so much easier, if I want curly hair I just put gel in after blow drying , use a curling iron then spray lightly with a stiff spray, may need to use a pin or small clip to hold the hard spot down..

Is your hair super straight?

my hair is soo nice and lucious girls r jealous of it

Is your hair super straight?

i have super straight hair too and have to use a combo of products to get it shiny and frizz free. i personally like sunsilk's blue shampoo 'for hair that doesn't poof' (i ususally get compliments on my hair on the days i use this shampoo. after washing and drying my hair i use garnier's leave in conditioner for 'sleek and shiny' hair and believe it or not, after styling, i spray tea tree oil on it. it makes my hair feel super soft and look extra shiny, it doesn't look like i have a lot of goop in my hair and i don't use hairspray so my hair isn't hard. it's soft to the touch.

good luck with whatever style you go for.

Is your hair super straight?

Here are oodles of hair styling tips that I use myself:

FOR STRAIGHT, FULL HAIR:

After you shower, towel dry as well as possible, and then put mousse in your hands, and then work it into the roots of your hair. Blow dry with your head upside down, focusing on drying the roots. This should hold all day. I recommend using mousse from Down Under Naturals, Got2B, or Marc Anthony.

This is my hair straight:

http://photos-841.ll.facebook.com/photos...

FOR WAVES:

Three methods.. I use all, depending on how wavy I want my hair:

Do these after you wash your hair and let it air dry.

a) This gives your hair thicker waves. Sleep with your hair in a tight bun as close to your head as possible. Make sure the bun is tight or it'll fall out in your sleep. When you wake up, take out the bun, shake your head (don't comb your fingers through or you'll flatten the waves) and put some mousse if your hair has trouble holding (I don't use mousse).

b) This is more complicated, but I like these waves more. This makes your hair wavier.

- Divide your hair into three sections. I tend to take two chunks of hair on either side of my face, and a chunk of hair underneath.

- Work with each chunk of hair at a time, and divide one chunk into two pieces again. Twist the strands of hair AS CLOSE TO YOUR SCALP AS POSSIBLE, or else you will have straight hair at the top that will go wavy towards the bottom.

- Twist each piece INDIVIDUALLY, and then twist those pieces together.

- Do this for EACH chunk of hair (so when you're done, you will have THREE twists in your hair).

- Sleep in them, and when you wake up, take the twists out but try not to run your fingers through them or you will make the waves frizzy. Add mousse if you'd like, but these kinds of waves really don't need them.

c) Braid your hair like your normally would before bed. But, these waves don't look as natural as the ones above.

This is my hair wavy on two different occasions... both pictures, I used method B.

http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-a...

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y111/ka...

FOR AN UPDO:

This is what I do with my hair when I'm up late studying and I don't have time to do anything else at night or in the morning.

Put your hair into a higher, messy sort of bun. Take a large clip, such as the plastic colourful ones they sell at hair salons (I use a heavier duty Chanel clip), pouf up the front of your hair, and use the clip to hold it into place. Make sure the clip placement is very near to where your bun starts on your head.

Here are different views of the same hairstyle on the same occasion lol:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y111/ka...

http://photos-b.ak.facebook.com/photos-a...

FOR A POMP:

http://community.livejournal.com/punk_ma...

FOR CURLING IRON STYLES:

Part your hair into sections, and then twist the sections of hair around the barrel AWAY from your face to frame it more. Hold each section of hair around the barrel for 5-10 seconds, depending on the quality of your curling iron, how hot it gets, and how tight you want your curls. I personally prefer loose curls because they look more natural:

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2394/2159...

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2100/2160...

FOR SUPER STRAIGHT HAIR:

a) Straightening iron

b) If you're not up for heat styling, wash your hair with baby shampoo or any other mild shampoo (mild shampoos ensure that your hair is thicker and more voluminous), and then top it off with a huge glob of conditioner. This'll ensure that your hair is straight, and is kept straight.

**For frizzy hair, use Frizz Control Serum. I don't have problems with frizzy hair myself, but my boyfriend does. I know it sounds pretty gay, but he uses Frizz Control Serum. Look at his hair - if frizz control sereum can control his hair, then it can control yours!

Is your hair super straight?

you can curl youre hair without products by taking a spray bottle like the one you spray cats with to train them and you fill it with water add three table spoons of sea salt and spray youre hair with it until it is moised then let it air dry and you have curly hair do this every morning for every day curl

Straight hair perm question?

Hi I want to straighten my hair, but don't want to spend $300-400 on a Japanese/Yuko/TR treatment. Can I just get a straight perm? How much wil that cost me, ohw are the results, how long do they last, and what are the side effects. FYI - I have shoudler length hair, very fine and very thin, ie not a lot of hair. Thanks, any answers will be appreciated. PS, I live in LA - GLendale Pasadena area.

T

Straight hair perm question?

i have been a hair dresser for 15 years and i would sugest no don't get a straight perm . it will not last long and not make your hair staright enough the way you want it to be simple try this et a flat iron with ceramic blades ( works the best) and a product called beyond the zone comes in an orange bottle :turn up the heat" smells like cotton candy spray it on than flat iron your hair it will be less damaging and will give you the look you desire and will last untill your next shampoo after a while of this it will be straight. because you have retrained it.

Straight hair perm question?

dont do it i did it and got my hair messed up

a had to cut it!

Straight hair perm question?

The chemicals for a perm may thin you out more. Go to a hair dresser for more info.

Straight hair perm question?

perms always burn myhair and then i have to cut it

Need Straight Hair?

Ok, i am a guy, and i have long hair. It is the only way i can keep if flat, because it is kind of poofy, and curly. So, i like my hair long, but i cannot get it straight, or neat. I have tried gels and hair spray, but it make my hair hard, which i dont like. I just want to be able to pull my hair back, and forget about. Any suggestions?

Need Straight Hair?

When your hair is damp, put Sunsilk 'straighten up' on your hair. It actually keeps your hair straight the whole day and it leaves your hair smelling lustful! lol....It's like 4 or 5 bucks and it's in a purple bottle. Also you could straighten your hair and that does damage it so put 'leave-in' conditioner in your hair. that's good too.

Need Straight Hair?

You could use Straighters but these can damage your hair in the long run

Need Straight Hair?

this might be gay but its the only thing i got, go with straighting it, like girls do, the straightener

Need Straight Hair?

ya need to cut it! haha. just joking. buy a hair sraightener. It helps with getting it less frizzy, less poofy, and less curly. Ya defiantely get what you pay for, so if you want a good one, plan on putting out like 40 to 60 bucks.

Need Straight Hair?

You can either use a flat iron, which you can get pretty cheap at Wal-Mart or Target, or blow dry your hair straight with a round brush. Being that you're a guy I would use the flat iron. Dont do it everyday if you dont have to though...it can really damage your hair. Find a hair product that protects your hair from heat styling and use that. Use a shampoo and conditioner that is used to achieve straight hair.

Need Straight Hair?

Go get yourself a flat iron. They are inexpensive and you can get them at wal-mart, drug stores, etc. I have naturally curly hair and it even works on it.

Need Straight Hair?

When a girl wants straight hair she uses a flat iron. Make sure you protect your hair with a product before you use a flat iron. That is very important because a flat iron gets really hot and will damage your hair. If you have the extra money go to your hairdresser and see if they have Chi Flat Irons for sale and she will be able to show you how to use one.

Need Straight Hair?

there is a product by "RUSK" it is called "DEEP SHINE" finger that through your hair and then use a flat iron. you will not believe the results. My daughter has really curly thick thick hair. She uses this and her hair is as straight as a pin and soft as a babies bottom. She prefers Conair straightner with the 2 inch ceramic plates about 25- 30 dollars. Also the Rusk you need to get at a beauty supply store. good luck

Need Straight Hair?

Just use a straightening iron. They are inexpensive at Wal-Mart or other discount stores. The closer you want to your head though the smaller straightener you want.

Need Straight Hair?

wel i ahve teh same excat same problem as you i got long frizzy curly hair that i just wanna pull back in a pony tail but i cant either back then

so i usaually use this dove anti frizz cream it really works and one my friends has 10x more frizzy than me, you could imgine

i suggest you to use the dove anti frizz its about 3 to 4 dollars in any pharmacy

hope this helps and good luck

Getting A straight hair line?

I hair natural straight hair and every time I take a shower, I can never get my hair line straight. Is there any way that I can get my hairline straight for the first time in a very long time?

Getting A straight hair line?

Use a straightener.

I have naturally super straight hair but I have strands that are super wiry, why?

I have super straight Asian hair and as long as I could remember I would like to touch my hair. But sometimes I would find strands that feel really weird and it would be all weird. The strands would be kinky, wiry, and curly. Almost as if someone used a really tight crimper on it. But it's only a few strands scattered around my head. Why do I have this? I noticed a few of my friends had this too and they are also asian with straight hair. Is this just damaged hair? But my friends never even dyed their hair nor did I when I first noticed these weird strands, virgin hair I say.

Anyone know? Thanks.

I have naturally super straight hair but I have strands that are super wiry, why?

it is just damaged strands probably caused by not enough conditioning. it's completely normal so don't worry about it just make sure you apply your conditioner on evenly and completely.

I have naturally super straight hair but I have strands that are super wiry, why?

Genetics. This is very common %26amp; not just in asian women. You were born this way. There's nothing you did to make this occur. This is just your hair texture.

I have naturally super straight hair but I have strands that are super wiry, why?

It could be static. A shine serum or anti-frizz by John Frieda works wonders when mine decides to stand on end. Whether your hair has been processed or not, environmental damage like extreme heat, extreme cold, wind and overbrushing can cause flyaway, coarse hair with a different texture.

Straight Hair Dilemma!!?

I have stick straight hair, and I do not want to curl it because it takes too much time and energy and in the end: it doesn't even stay for more than an hour.

My boyfriend's formal is coming up and I want a really sexy hair style (I would prefer to wear it mostly down) that would look great with my dress - which is a black, strapless, flapper dress (you know, the kind with all the tassels!)I just cannot think of anything easy enough or creative enough to work.

My hair is dark brown and falls right to the top of my nip. (Whatever I said nip .. big deal .. I had to describe it somehow)

PLEASE HELP with ideas!!

Photo Shoot, Headshots, CUrly or Straight Hair? Facebook Users ONly?

I'm a dancer and I'm getting headshots done on wednesday. My hair is naturally curly and I've heard that if you're getting headshots done and you have naturally curly hair you should wear it curly and not straighten it. However, my naturally curly hair can get very puffy and frizzy and I don't know if maybe i should wear my hair straight for the picture. Below are two pictures one with my hair straight and one with it curly...should i go all natural or straighten my hair? Do you think my naturally curly hair would give me something different, like an advantage? Help me out!!!

If you wear your hair curly on a normal day, wear it curly for the head shot and use a curl serum, an a good conditioner. I have really curly hair and it gets poofy too when it drys. I purchased herball essences hello hydrating conditioner and my hair is so soft and manageable i also bought care free curl, curl restorer it helps remove the frizz. the conditoner on it's own is good though. good luck.

Photo Shoot, Headshots, CUrly or Straight Hair? Facebook Users ONly?

I understand. Picking hairstyles can be hard. I think that whatever is more natural to you would be the right answer. Headshots need to communicate who YOU ARE. If you normally straighten you hair and are more likely to walk into an audition with your hair straightened, then keep it that way.

You should check out http://www.headshots101.com That site has a lot of really good info on it.

Get my dead pin straight hair?

When I get flat iron my hair it doesn't come out pin straight maybe because I don't use any thing.Maybe if some could tell me how to get my dead pin straight. some products to use also. ;0 thankx

Get my dead pin straight hair?

One reason your hair may not get as straight as you want it could be that your iron isn't hot enough but you should use styling products that could add to the problem. I suggest you use a styling gel, if you have thick or curly hair or a styling mousse, if you have thin or fine hair. Blow dry your hair as straight as you can as this will help your iron along, after its dry use a product called Shine Infusion by CHI it makes your hair shiny, de-frizzes and protect your hair from the heat of blow drying and ironing, it is a great product I use it everyday on my clients, spray a little in your hair but not too much or it will look greasy, and then section your hair into two sections top and bottom, then on the bottom section take small pieces at a time, going slowly down the hair shaft (not too slow or you will see alot of smoke, that's not good) and continue this around the whole head and the finish of with a light hairspray to keep it in place and that's it. hope this helps

Get my dead pin straight hair?

herbal essences straightening spray works so good !

Get my dead pin straight hair?

if you have a straightener dont run it all the way through, just stop at the very end of your hair

Get my dead pin straight hair?

I never had any luck with inexpensive flat irons that you get in a drugstore. Then I bought a good-quality ceramic one (HAI) and that did the trick. I don't think those drugstore ones get hot enough. And my hair isn't curly, just really wavy.

Get my dead pin straight hair?

use a bit of frizz serum [i use frizz-ease serum from john freida, they have it at the drugstores]. work a little in your ends before you straighten it. it'll look oily, but a HOT [i use 400 degrees, it seems high but the serum helps protect your hair] straightener will eliminate that and leav you with pin-straight hair. let each section you straighten cool a bit, then blow dry the ends it on a COOL setting to lock in the straight...ness. :] good luck

Get my dead pin straight hair?

yep i have to agree with the ceramic straightner..not cheap but it will save you lots of time and effort, its always good 2 2 use something in it that will protect it from the heat so when you use anything with heat in your hair a lot it wont dry out and damage your hair!!

Get my dead pin straight hair?

k well if your hair isnt naturally straight i wont ever b like tha lol jus as my hair cant be perfectly straight unless i comb it down flat after i get outta the shower an put sum hair wax only a bit cuz it would make it greasy an then tie it back an straighten it take lil by lil usually it takes me bout a hour for my hair too look as straight as i can get it

Get my dead pin straight hair?

why dont u blow out ur hair then straighten it.

Straight hair is prettier?

why do the hair product commercials mostly only show women with straight hair? Are they predjudiced against women with curly hair?

Straight hair is prettier?

Hardly.

In reality there are a lot of commercials (especially hair ones) that show women with full, voluminous curls and waves. It is true hair color commercials are mostly straight hair but that's probably because straight hair shows highlights and color better than some curly hair.

But as far as product goes, try and shift your focus because there are definitely a lot of bouncy curls goin on in those commercials. :)

Straight hair is prettier?

personally ive got straight hair but ive always wanted to have wavy hair coz it looks so awesome... everytime i go out i curl my hair for a change... i think that straight hair is just naturally shinier and smoother, to show that the hair products work...but curly hair is awesome too...as long as its not frizzy

Straight hair is prettier?

straight is in style now

Straight hair is prettier?

Yes, curly hair gets your fingers caught in it. Straight hair is easier to work with.

Straight hair is prettier?

it's the fashion.

curly will come back.

Straight hair is prettier?

B'coz women look more prettier with straight hair rather than curly hair, it depends from one person to another. But out of 100% , 90% of the women look prettier with straight hair and 10% curly hair.

Straight hair is prettier?

In the 80s they only showed Curly hair... it is the ebb-n-flow of hair fashion

Straight hair is prettier?

I think that you can do more things with your hair when it is straight. Alot of people straighten their hair, and that is bad for their hair. I have straight hair, and I am really glad I do. Hope this helps you.

Straight hair is prettier?

straight is in style now

Straight hair is prettier?

no they're not

some women look better with straight hair

some look better with curly hair

it all depends on face shape and complexion

or the color

i wear mine curly or straight, but i like curly better

when your hair is curly, it makes you face seem smaller and thinner

Straight hair is prettier?

Well...I think that curly hair is pretty, i have curly hair. but yesterday i was watching the tyra banks show and they were saying that guys usually find girls with straighter hair more atrractive...=]

Straight hair is prettier?

I don't know the answer to that question either.. I have wavy hair and it's very full. I love my hair. I do everything i can to protect it. I have worn my hair straight but I just don't like it as much..

I think (as i realize someone already said) highlights show up better on a straight surface than a wiggly one :) I think you can better see all the layers and colours in pin straight hair. the more body hair has, the less you notice exactly where the colour depth is.. I mean, that's my guess. I find commercials for shampoo products show more curly or wavy hair because it bounces more.

Straight hair is prettier?

straight is good but curly is better I have curly hair but make sure it not to curly

Straight hair is prettier?

I have curly hair myself and i love it, but when i feel like hacing straight hair i use my flat iron.I think people with curly hair have an advantage because when we get tired of the curls we can straighten it, unlike poeple with staright hair they wish they could curl it once in a while but all it does is get wavy.So be glad that you have culry hair.

And yes straight hair is in, but not for too long=]]

Straight hair is prettier?

I'd have to conclude that because the majority of young girls want to look like the latest Pop star, who inevitably is practically anorexic and wears her hair in the straightest

( ironed if necessary) style, the manufacturers and suppliers go after that market. Supply and demand...

If Nicole Kidman and the woman from Ghostbusters-- Addy something : who buy the way has very thick curly hair which is obviously managed/ straightened buy the PRO salons, were to wear their hair in its naturally curly styles and just one new Pop star with Curly hair hits it big....That might in itself be a market changer.

Straight hair is prettier?

guess what i was straight hair...but now thats out and the 80's are back with the tight curls! yes i find it annoying that the straight look is shoved down our throats! I have wavy hair and i think being healthy and natural looks better..you have no idea how many people i have seen who don't know how to use their flat iron and i see the horrible flat iron bump on the head or i can see their dandruff its pretty gross..i want to take them and scrub em and do it myself....if you want just leave a detail comment i can tell you how to make curls with a flat iron...soft curls pin curls..high fashion crazy curls..i can tell you how to bump it under or flip it up

I have straight hair with layers..how doi make my hair have morevolume?

my hair is a little bit passed my shoulder . i have layers and side swept bangs. how can i make it look like my hair has more volume and not so thin looking. i still want my hair to be straight though, but make it look like i have more hair... helllp

I have straight hair with layers..how doi make my hair have morevolume?

The next time you get a haircut have your stylist chip it out. By chipping you will be able to get more volume. In some parts of the county it is called framing, texturizing.

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

Hope this helps.

Hair Styles for straight hair??

I dont know what to do with my hair its thick straight and blonde. I have an oval face. I dont like curly hair and i usally just put it in a hafe pony tail, have any ideas or good websites to find hair styles.

Hair Styles for straight hair??

i dont know if u like curly hair or not, so i put a few suggestions down anyway, and some other ones:

for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......

and if you shower in the morning, scrunch your hair with mousse and it looks pretty good but might get a little frizzy.

and as for just regular hairstyles, i would try sidebangs or whispy bangs instead of thick ones......dont know ....

you can also do buns, because they are pretty in, or low pigtails, but you might be a little old for them, but my sister in college looks cute in them so i dont know.....

and side ponytails are cute and sporty.

as for hairbands, very cute and in!!!

u could wear your hair half-up, leaving your bangs down.....

good luck!! hope i helped!!!

mmhhmm. your lucky that you have straight hair cuz you dont have to even straighten it!!! well theres lots of cute hairstyles. like the messy cute bun. and the high/ messy cute pony tail wiith the bangs pulled back with a bobbypin. you can also try a low to the side pony tail. you should also curl your hair in little ringlets! i hoped i helped :]

Hair Styles for straight hair??

i wud suggest layers or steps...long layers or short layers...preferably long

or else a razor cut

or umm...if u wanna shorten it then cut it to shoulder length...will look like in a blunt hairstyle

or else just leave it like that...try doing ur hair in differnet ways...u know...tight high pony or loose pony..or braided..or just two strands of hair braided down the middle of ur hair...

Something flirty, fun and fresh to start off the school year. I am looking at layers and side-swept bangs, but do not know if that would be best to flatter my oval-round face. I am sick of having blah, straight hair, but am not willing to get highlights, extensions, or anything artificial. Please help me find a great new hair cut!

I have medium, blonde, straight hair, natural highlights. I would like a new cut, but am not sure what.?

Oh my GOD! I have medium, straight, blonde hair with natural highlights, too! How weird? Last year, I got long layers with sideswept bangs, I miss it! But now my hair is long, without layers, and beach blonde but I'm thinking about going back to my old cut. You should definitely try it, it looks good on a round face, too.

I have medium, blonde, straight hair, natural highlights. I would like a new cut, but am not sure what.?

I have your same exact hair and I was looking for something flirty and fresh too.

I got it cut to my chin with pieces in front (think claire danes in brokedown palace) and then razor edging to give it texture with splicing to keep it looking a little chunky/choppy. I have an oval face as well. I LOVE my haircut. My hair has always been very long, but this is just so flirty.

I didn't like having stick straight blah hair that did nothing. With it shorter like this, I have TONS of body and volume and style, and I barely have to do anything to it to make it look great! And it's very feminine.

if you're not ready to chop off yor hair, start thinking about multi-length bangs. A friend of mine did that last month. Demi bangs that got gradually, chunkily longer. A GREAT face-frame, and an easy way to add interest to not-so-lively hair.

whatever you decide to do, I always let my stylist have a lot of control. I trust her. They're trained to understand individual face-shape and hair types. Take suggestions from them!

good luck :o)

In humans, wavy hair (CS) results by the co-dominant situation of curly hair (C) and straight hair (S). What are the possible results if a curly haired man and wavy haired woman have children?

Wavy hair(CS) is fr. co-dominant of curly(C) %26amp; straight(S) what r possible results if (C) %26amp; (CS) have kids?

You can do a simple Punnett square for this and it's pretty straight-forward. It's just a CC x CS, giving 50% CC [curly] and 50% CS [wavy]

Wavy hair(CS) is fr. co-dominant of curly(C) %26amp; straight(S) what r possible results if (C) %26amp; (CS) have kids?

Just guessing, but I'd say Curly.

How do you turn straight hair into afro hair?

I want an afro more than anything. I have very straight hair. How can I get it to be like an afro?

Thanks.

How do you turn straight hair into afro hair?

Start with wet hair if possible. Comb hair up and out so it gets body.

Depending on the thickness of your hair, part it into at least four sections using a large-toothed comb.

Braid each section and secure with a no-snag elastic hairband.

Sleep in the braids overnight to get the best look.

Unbraid your hair when you get up in the morning. Bend over and tousle your hair with your fingers.

Divide each of the four sections into four individual sections with a rat-toothed comb. Do this one section at a time.

With each of the four "mini" sections, backcomb your hair gently until you achieve your desired Afro.

How do you turn straight hair into afro hair?

if you backcombe it, then it goes all bushy, but a dont know how to gt afro hair - sorry

How do you turn straight hair into afro hair?

idk, i have the opposite problem.

How do you turn straight hair into afro hair?

ya

How do you turn straight hair into afro hair?

Um, perhaps a really tight perm?

How do you turn straight hair into afro hair?

Insert finger in light socket!! Lol...Just kidding. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

How do you turn straight hair into afro hair?

I think really the only way to do it is to get a REALLY heavy duty perm. You'll have to get some pretty damn tiny curls, and if you don't have a lot of hair (or particularly thick hair), you'll probably have to get extensions to help with the extreme valume required for an afro.

Once your hair is super extra curly, you'd probably have to use a volumizing shampoo to get it bigger, back comb it a ton, brush it out, and use plenty of hairspray.

I'd probably recommend consulting a stylist more than anything, because something like making straight hair into an afro probably isn't something I would trust to doing yourself.

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

whats more apealling to u guys ? i have wavy hair , and i`m always straightning it ...... i tink it`s better to have straight hair , i dont kno , every1 wants to have the oppisite of what they have .

whats better ??é–³?br>Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

I've found that many guys love the "wild" look of curls, while others like a more "reserved" look of straight hair. Usually I leave mine curly on regular days, and straighten it when I want a little extra attention because people simply aren't used to seeing me that way.

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

straight by the way im a boy

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

Straight

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

i'm not a guy, but i think wavy/curly hair looks really attractive, but only if its not frizzy or full of product. you know 'sexy' hair is always all volumeous and wavy/curly? go for that look.

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

guys find wavt hair attractive but dont go all the wavy or you will turn out like a poodle or old lady

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

It depends on the man. Personally, I like woman who don't try to change themselves to attract me. If you have wavy or curly hair just leave it natural. If someone likes you just because you have straight hair, you don't need that kind of attention.

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

Natural...wavy, curly, straight...what attracts me is a girl that is comfortable with what she has.

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

Long and straight.

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

long straight hair

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

It depend whether it suits ur face and ur style or not .. i'm not a guy but i like wavy healthy looking hair ( like Jessica Simpson), curly hair looks so wild but its only look good on hair with no frizz

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

umm i think it really depends...on if u do look better with the straight or curly hair..but i wouldnt change it for someone else..if you love it the way that it is thats great....its ur hair and the more comfortable you are with the way ur hair loks the more confident ull be....good luck!

Straight hair or curly hair on a girl ?

Go straight, most boys like that, well at least at my school!! All they want is straight, blond hair!!!!!

u could even have like a wave at the bottom!!!!!

Straight hair, nice?

Hey,

I am a guy, does straight hair look ok on guys? The reason im asking is my hair is becoming unmanageable and its much easier when its strightend, also, another question, how can i keep it straight and soft for longer?

Straight hair, nice?

straight hair on men looks like you made an effort and the best way to keep it is to put a little serum on it first and then a touch of wax to keep it in longer....

Straight hair, nice?

Sure straight hair is fine. You could use a product like Bedhead, keeps the frizz down and holds straighness longer.

Straight hair, nice?

looks better curly, reli!

Straight hair, nice?

i like hair it's cute

Straight hair, nice?

i love lads with straight hair :) it makes it look like they've made an effort!

Straight hair, nice?

yes i think guys look fit with straight hair, use straighteners and before you straighten it use a heat protective spray and make sure you use shampoo and conditioner to keep it soft and healthy.

Straight hair, nice?

Hey. yes, i think that it is better for guys to have straight hair. For one thing, it shows that you have made an effort in doing your hair. Also, it just looks awesome.

Straight hair, nice?

Straight hair is nice, both on men and women as long as it's not greasy!!!

When you shampoo your hair always condition it afterwards. If you think its dry then buy a conditioning spray, and to keep it straight, well do what we women do, invest in a god pair of straightners (and heat protector spray).......

How do i get straight hair - or straighter hair wihtout spending tonnes of money?

Get a good ceramic hair straightener. You can straighten the night before - and just do a little maintenance in the morning. I know several people with hair like yours that do this.

How do i get straight hair - or straighter hair wihtout spending tonnes of money?

use a good straightener it takes like 15 min to straighten my hair

How do i get straight hair - or straighter hair wihtout spending tonnes of money?

buy a flat iron

at walmart there is one that $30

it's cheap and it straightens your hair so good

How do i get straight hair - or straighter hair wihtout spending tonnes of money?

ok well there is this thing i heard of i know they do it in new york but there is this thing chineese do at salons in new york that permenatly straightens your hair. but if not try maybe straighting your hair at night . so that way in the morning all you have to do i like fix it up a lil with the straightner

Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?

I have fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes very bad after I take a shower and dry it off. I'm a male and want to give it a weighted down look with the straight look and without the frizzes. Is there any type of hair styling product I can use to fix this? I don't want to use gel because it hardens the hair and beeswax gives it that gooey/smelly effect. Thanks.

Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?

Try BedHead's "After Party".. it just makes the hair really light and soft... It might help tame the frizz.

Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?

use conditioner in the shower. there are also "leave in" conditioners you can apply to damp hair after showering.

note to the chick who uses pantene- don't. ask your stylist, she should confirm that almost all products, and i know this sounds silly, the start with a "P" are bad for your hair. but i've heard this from several sources. i think it has something to do with containing silicone.

Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?

I'd look into a anti-frizz serum product -- there are many varieties available in the health %26amp; beauty section of your drug store.

Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?

i have the same kind of hair, and i always get "fly-aways" for my shorter strands. i got pantene anti-frizz serum. it works really well for me. it's a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth it, imo.

Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?

1) go to a hair place and get some kind of serum

2) buy the shampoo and conditioner called sunsilk they have a kind for every hair need

Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?

Garnai Frutis. I Have frizzy hair affter everything. It i s long, but when it frizzes it looks like I have an affro. I use the sleek and shin produscts. Shampoo, Conditioner, Affter Shower anti-frizz stuff. Try Ganai Frutis. They Woor really well for oily and hard to grow hair. Just look them up and see what they can do for you.

Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?

There are some sprays, for this I'm not sure what brands, they are located in the same isle as the shampoos, they will say for frizz control, many women use these, but they work the same on men, one of them are (excuse spelling) Garnier nutrients, in a green round bottle, this one pumps out, you put a small ammount one the hand and work it through the hair.

How do you make straight hair culy?

I have really straight hair..

does anyone know a way to make my type of hair

thick and curly w/out a curling iron?

How do you make straight hair culy?

try a diffuser it works really well if you have any body in your hair it will help bring it out :)

How do you make straight hair culy?

Try a curling iron or curlers.

How do you make straight hair culy?

Just take a shower and come out and shake your head and shake your hands on your head.

How do you make straight hair culy?

you curl it with a culling iron

How do you make straight hair culy?

i don't know. for a play i was in we ahd to curl our hair. i used mouse no work. mouse and curling iron. no use. curlers no use. fingers no work. we had to show up four hours before the show. by the time i got to the dressing room it was flat

How do you make straight hair culy?

try mousse and hairspray or gel. scrunch it and then blow dry it but still scrunch it. should work unless your hair is like super super straight. hope i helped!!

How do you make straight hair culy?

Well, some of my friends wash, but don't dry all the way, then put in mousse or crimping stuff and toss. if not, then I'm sorry you will have to use hot rollers, but it doesn't take that long though plus you can leave them in while you do other things then take them out.

How do you make straight hair culy?

you can go to a salon and ask for and perm which is short for permanant wave they will hook you up !!!!! And whatever you do don't try to do it yourself

How do you make straight hair culy?

permanet waving, curlers, or braid/ twist it over night, take it down and VOILA!

How do you make straight hair culy?

When you get out of the shower, scrunch it up in your hands for a bit while its still wet... Add a lot of gel and just keep scrunching it. It will give you a wet look for the majority of the day too!! My hair is pretty thick and it works for me all the time.

How do you make straight hair culy?

wash and condition hair apply mousse and scrunch dry hair with fingers on a low heat if no good try some rollers

How do you make straight hair culy?

Curlers, Sleeping in Curlers, Hot Rollers, Home Permanents, Salon Permanents, Certain haircuts.

How do you make straight hair culy?

Well, if you don't have thick hair, it's really hard. But if you do, just take a shower, or wet all your hair, and let it air dry.

How do you make straight hair culy?

I depends on how straight your hair is- if it has a bit of natural wave, this will make it a more curly, but if your hair is absolutely straight, this will give it a wave. Brush your hair in the shower, with conditioner still in it. Then rinse the conditioner out- but dont brush or comb your hair again. towel dry your hair- not doing a crazy back and forth shake with it, just pat it down with a towel. comb through a little with your fingers if you like. Then, use either leave-in conditioner or hair gel (not a lot, otherwise it gets crunchy), making sure to get gel on the fingertips in between fingers- and starting at the roots, using your fingers to sort of lightly toss/comb through your hair. and do at the back of your head, underneath as well (otherwise only the top layer will be cruly) then, scrunch the ends of the hair. my sister likes to lightly twirl the gel-ed hair around her finger to make ringlets. dont use too much gel- otherwise it will weight the hair down. then DONT touch it!!! leave it to dry. I hope this was helpful!

How do you make straight hair culy?

You know you could get a relaxed perm in your hair...

Depending on how curly you want it...

But i have found puttin a wave in your hair or even a perm in your hair seems to solve the trick for a few months anyways...

I to have straight hair and have put perms in my hair and now my hair has taken on a wave...

Straight hair...curls?

Hi i have Stick straight hair and ya'll know that new thing that's in style now where you scrunch your hair?

well i want to do that on mine but it is to straight to just scrunch it!

any ideas

Straight hair...curls?

http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art4...

http://www.wikihow.com/Give-Your-Hair-a-...

Straight hair...curls?

moe bitches

Straight hair...curls?

If you want like wavy hair, you should get a semi perm. Not the spiral perm, but just kinda like a wave. That way, if you ever just want to wear it straight, you can just straighten it :)

Straight hair...curls?

perm it in a salon?

Straight hair...curls?

i like both but mostlikely wavy

Straight hair...curls?

use john Frieda stuff!!! it works!

Straight hair...curls?

Keep your hair in a pony tail then try braiding it.

Straight hair...curls?

You can perm your hair or just use an elastic band to hold the hair then tuck it under the bottom of the hair so it makes the bump at the front then you can use gel over the top of the hair then you can use the gel to style the back.

Do curl activators work on straight hair as well?

i have really long and straight hair and i was wondering, do curl creams or curl activators work on straight hair? will it make really really straight hair curly without the use of blow dryers or curling irons? because i have an extremely hard time maintaining curly hair even if i use hairspray with extreme hold. After 4 hours or so, my hair turns straight again..please help!

Do curl activators work on straight hair as well?

i got this shampoo its called wash and curl i think i bought it at walgreens/longs u get it I have straight long hair too so i wash my hair with it and i braide it with gel my hair stayed curly for 3 days! 3 days! my hair usually would be flat in 3 hours or less! I also crimped/curled my hair and it stayed in for 14 hours soo i think it could do u some good. o0o and advice for when u curl when ur hair is wet put a mousse in then dry it as usaly when u curl it dont spray hairspray on it right away its wet and thats what akes it come out let the curled hair cool down for a couple of minutes and then spray

Do curl activators work on straight hair as well?

no curl activator doesn't work on straight hair

Do curl activators work on straight hair as well?

You still need to wash and set your entire head of hair in rollers when you curl creams/activators on straight hair

however your curls should probably last for between 10 - 12 hrs before you need to re-set your hair again.

Try rollers setting your hair and sleeping in it so that you can have nice curls in the morning that will last all day long

try if possible to air dry your roller sets it can take a few hours

How to get that perfect straight hair ?

my hair is actually quite straight ..however it is very dense and thick and my face structure is pretty small ... i do use straightner to flatten it out and the results are really good .. it balances the density of thankfully the quality of my hair is real good and all this heat doesnt have a very bad effect on my hair ... i wanna go in for permanen straightening .. however i have noticed that the result of that is extremely poker straight hair which i do not want .. i wish to have the result of a 'flattening iron hair' and not an extremely poker straight hair ... i heard hair salons offer 2 options in this regard ... any clue wot those are ?

How to get that perfect straight hair ?

ok the chi r japenesse st8ing system will be the to str8 look find a salon that does a rusk radical anticurl it is a lil more temp and works really well and u can still get volume at the root

How to get that perfect straight hair ?

I would defentaly not go for a perm beacause your in a couple of moths going to end up with not strait hair at the top and beautifully strait hair at the bottam.I have for years straitend my hair and am very tired of doing it and my hair is very heat damaged. It sounds crazy but when u shower use conditioner mixed with a heat blocker no shampoo. Also you might consider going for a cerimic straitner which does cost some cash but is well worth it...also...try blow-drying your hair strait and then straiten the peices that dont quite make it ...

hope i helped

How to get that perfect straight hair ?

well im not so sure but you can try buying a ceramic hair straightener that doesn't burn you hair as much try buying the brand chi its really good or you can ask the ladies at the salon to cut in between your hair so you wont have so much i do that cuz i have the same problem but just tell them that you want some of your hair cut off not as in length but as in thickness but i dont know what its called though cuz the lady that cuts my hair speaks spanish so i dont know how to say it in english but i hope this helped you a little

Hey.. I definitely know what ur talking about.. anyways,,,, here is it... be sure to follow it everyday!!

1. Conditioner for oily hair

I have naturally oily, straight hair and I used a shampoo with conditioner and then applied a leave-in conditoner to prevent static. It worked! I used mousse and a bit of hair spray and was static-free almost all day.

2. static....

i get static hair all the time...for short releif of it, use a dryer sheet. i dont know what it is that helps but it does! don't use it for very long though.

3. Moisturizer for hair Rebecca Featherston

Several years ago I was introduced to SEBASTION Potion #9. This is a leave in hair moisturizer, not a conditioner. It's used in place of, after you shampoo. Use it regularly throughout the winter months and you will notice a difference!

4. Winter hair rejuvination Rebecca

Get your hairstylist to color your hair with REDKIN SHADES...this is a conditioning, non-peroxide color wash, you can brighten your hair color by using the shades and mixing with clear to tone down to an acceptable level for your taste. This is a great treatment for the wintertime, it brightens your hair, and deep conditions it at the same time. You'll be hooked after one treatment!

5. Fly Away Hair

If you are having trouble with fly away hair try this. Rinse hair, after shampooing, every now and then with a good liquid clothes conditioner. It greatly cuts down the static in your hair.

6. Surefire Success

Keep your hat on till spring, maybe early summer.

7. To Fight Static...

I have super long (3 1/2 ft. from crown to tips), super thin, super straight hair and static in the winter is a nightmare for me. I have learned 3 good ways of combating it however. #1 Keep a trial size bottle of a leave in spray conditioner with you at all times (you can buy these in drug stores for pennies). #2 Run a dryer sheet over your hair. #3 Spray something like Static Guard over your hair (this may stink but it's effective).

8. Smooth Hair

My stylist told me that when you rinse out your conditioner, you should use colder water. When you look at a piece of hair under a microscope, it looks like the shingles of a roof. When you use colder water to rinse out your conditioner, it closes those "shingles" and makes your hair smoother.

9. Better hair

Before showering, I comb my hair one last time. This helps to distribute the natural oils in your hair. When in the shower, I usually comb my conditioner into my hair paying special attention to the tips because this is where your hair has less moisture. When I'm done I usually blast cold water onto my hair. This helps with keeping the hair moisturized since it closes the hair shaft and it makes your hair extremely shiny.
