I have naturally wavy/straight hair

so you think it would be easy to straighten right?

well your wrong lol

it only takes 15-25 mins to actually straighten it but it WILL not stay straight during the day.

It flips out at the ends and gets kinks in it and frizzes sometimes

i have tried everything from straightening balms %26amp; shampoos to using moose and gell

it just won't stay straight

i do use a chi straighteing spray called iron gaurd to protect my hair but i don't think that would cause it to kink and stuff

does anyone know how to get straight hair but not loose any volume?

buy a better straightener and spray products on it before you straighten. try dangeroulsy straight by herbal essances

u cant egt stright hair wiht volum well u cna but its gonna be hard tyr regoula shampooo and conditon and wahs it good then towl dry get a hari dryer wiht a strighting comb and then dry ur hair and take a shrtin and stirghtne it out also ty bed ahri prduct

i have the same hair type! i get mine permed straight, and it works just fine. but before you spend all your money on this, ask your hairdresser. she will know your hair type, and recommend the best solution.

My husband has the same type of hair and wanted his straight so we used a product called Dr.Miracle. It really,really worked. It's a chemical straightener,takes about 30-40 minutes to complete and cost about $20, depending on how well you use the product it should stay straight for about 2-3 months.

the chi straight guard only protects it from the heat, they also have products that are to decrease frizz and what not and they are much better than anything herbal essences or garnier can provide

you should also use a good shampoo and conditioner

never sleep with your hair wet

and blow dry it before you straighten it instead of letting it air dry, this reduces frizz and promotes volume

I was a lot like you my hair did the exact same thing...if your hair is olong (which mine was) i just cut mine shorter and it was easier tostraigten but i cut it to like my shoulders... but if you don't want to o that you could always try to dry it straight and trying creames and stuff if that doesn't work than idk wht you are going to do

I use pantene sleek shampoo and also the conditioner...After I blow dry I use the pantene sleek and straight serum...Its sooooo much easier to straighten ur hair when u use this combo...and plus your hair shines and looks alot healthier...hope this will help...Don't use gel and mouse!! It's faster to straighten my hair when i use a straightner that is wider like vidal sassoon (cost about 20 dollars at any pharmacy)

-If you dont mind spending more money..Try a japanese straightening perm (less harmful than other straightening perms)..it costed about $150 in chinatown salons and I kinda long hair..I loved it cuz you'll get straight and sleek hair right without even blowdrying...

you could try to go to a salon and get a relaxer to keep your hair straight with no damage and add a little bit of oil to give it some shine.

Do you mean it has the frizzies. If so, then try this little trick.

Take your brush, and spray just a little bit of hair spray on it,

then brush your hair with it. Repeat if necessary. It works for me all the time. But also, after you do that, take your fingers

and run them from underneath behind your neck, up to the middle of your scalp. This trick makes your hair look full and fluffy. I hope I helped. Good Luck!

I have the exact same problem as you. But, to fix it, I braided my hair at night and took the braids out in the morning. Then, apply the heat protecting spray, straighten your hair, and add some shine spray. It looks FABULOUS.

my hair is also very wavy and big and curly and everything else in between. i take my showers at night, so after them, i dry and straighten my hair. then i sleep with my hair straight and down. when i wake up in the morning, my hair isn't straight anymore. so, i straighten it again. i think straightening it twice helps it stay "un-frizzy". also, after i straighten it in the mornings, i use a product by goldwell. its called "spun shine". its like a pomade and you just get some on your fingers and run it through your hair. also, i always put a little extra my ends. my hair never frizzes now. yay! hope it works for you too. :]

i have the same type of hair. i use paul mitchell shampoo and hair serum(for frizziness) and that works for me. i think you should get a hot tools straightning iron because that will straighten you hair and it won't make your hair frizzy. you have to straighten your hair in parts to make your hair straighter and its gonna take more than 10 minutes.
