Straight hair 'in'?

I'll admit, i do straighten my hair. But, this girl at my camp was saying how people straighten their hair because straight hair is 'in'. I actually think she had a point. Why is everyone so obsessed with straight hair? What's wrong with my naturally curly hair?

I don't know. I have straight hair and i HATE IT! People keep saying, "oh i love your hair its so pin straight" and i hate it. It's boring! I love curly hair! But honestly that girl follows crowds, be original don't do that. You'd look like everyone else and what's the point of that.

People with curly hair (like me) get annoyed with the constant brushing and frizzing and crazyness in dealing with it! It's so much easier to take three minutes to straiten it so it's easier for burshing.

you don't have to do what everybody else does, i have lots of friends with curly hair that don't straighten it. if you like your curls then let your hair curl, personally i think curly hair looks better.
