So, I have mostly straight hair. Except when I fall asleep with wet hair, it gets crazy. I never have the time to dry my hair before bed. So, when I wake up and straighten my hair my bangs look good for a few minutes, but they start to get twisty.
What can I do to make them STAY straight?

it sounds like i have the exact same hair as you, but here's what I do: embrace it. If you are blessed with hair that's big upon waking, just roll with it! not only will you save yourself time, energy, and hair damage, but wavy hair looks good on everyone (and boys consider it more touchable, in case that interests you). instead of trying to keep it pin straight (sometimes you just cant fight those pesky hereditary traits) get some different lengths of layers and put a little holding cream in the night before (it takes like 9 seconds). put on a sweet hat, headband, scarf, barette or just leave it down. it will save you hours and hours. here are a couple particularly good examples:
this one is when my hair has been down most of the day http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a328/c...
this is after putting a bit of water and wearing it in a twisted bun, it gets extra wavy this way and it looks curly

hope you can mix things up!

I take showers in the morning you should try that. If you cant, you should get CHI straightening serum and apply to ends of hair after straightening. Also when you're hair is damp from shower, you can apply Straightening mousse and it works pretty good especially the Herbal Essence brand.

um. make time to dry your hair before

you could wash you hair before bed and when its still wet put it up in a bun
when you wake up in the morning it will still be wet and you can blow dry or strighten it as needed

Do your use a straightening product when you straighten your hair w/ the iron??? Also just so you know when you go to bed w/ wet hair the short hairs like your bang have a mind of their own. You should always blow dry them just to set the path of what you want. you hair follicals do not all grow out straight, thats why you use product and dry them in the direction you want them to go in

is it only ur bangs that do this?? well if it is, then maybe just get ur bangs wet in the morning put some mousse in (if u don't have any, it's ok.) then blow dry just that section, and straighten it as normal. good luck :)

Re-wet your bangs and blow dry them in the direction you want them to go...use a round brush so they don't get frizzy.
