Blowdrying hair straight?

I have thick, natural african-american textured hair (which is very kinky) and i usually wear it in braids, twists, cornrows, etc. I get my hair done every 2 or 3 weeks and i usually have it blow-dried straight right before because if i dont my braids will immediatley start to shrivel and curl up. Is blow-drying my hair that often a bad thing? What might happen if i keep doing that? and how often should i have my hair blow dried straight?

Blowdrying hair straight?

i don't think heat is good for hair at all it burns hair and robs them of their natural oils you should use a leave in conditioner every night and blow dry your hair only when braiding

It nots that bad if you dont do it every single day but use a deep condiitioner to restore your hair and if you do decide to blow dry often it try to use a low heat so it will prevent from breakage and split ends. And also use a heat protector so your ahir is protected from the heat. u can also use a diffuster on ur hair dryer.

Stop wasting your money. I use to have my hair damaged doing that so finally i invested in a straightening iron.I never believed in infomercials before .I have had nine for 2 years and it works.i am biracial and have extremely course hair and i have not had to have my hair relaxed at all .besides the relaxers take for the day its done then wamo once i wash it gone. This thing i use it touch it up when i neeed to and wonder full and my hair doesn't get the burn smell.
