Will my hair stay straight?

I am 18 yrs. old and my father had stick straight hair but my mother had curly hair...fortunately, I inherited my fathers hair because it is straight. What are the chances that my hair will stay straight? info. appreciated.

Will my hair stay straight?

It is hard to say.

My friend, once she gave birth, her hair went really straight, when before she gave birth it was curly.

My little sisters hair turned very curly once she hit puberty.

If you do get curly hair, there are many things you can to do fix it. You can get a perm that straightens out your hair.

It's nothing to worry about :)

Plus, if you do get curly hair, I think curly hair is so so pretty and it doesn't take as long to style it.

Either way you will look great! People don't look at hair anyway, unless they are vain and like to judge other people.

if you have had straight hair up to now, i would imagine that it's going to stay on the same path.

You've got what you've got... it will stay what you have always had. Hair usually does not change until you are much, much older, like a senior.

if you take care of your hair it will stay straight. more than likely it will never become curly but it will break off if you don't take care of it.

If you dont want it straight get a perm.

Well, it sounds like its going to stay straight for now, but you could try getting perms and styling gel to help curl your hair.

Happy to help!

It all depends on your genes. My parents are exactly the same way and I got my dads hair too.

BUT my mom's parents where also the same way and my mom had stick straight hair until she got pregnant and then all of the sudden it became a huge set of curls and it stayed that way.

Sometimes when your hormone level changes so does your hair. But my advice, work with what you've got.

There is so much you can do with straight hair. If you want to go for a curly look here is a suggestion that looks super cute, I do it a lot.

Take a curling iron (I use 2 inches but you can use whatever size you want) instead of opening it take small sections of your hair and wrap them around the curling iron, spray with hair spray and hold for about 30 seconds. Then slide the curling iron out. To do your whole head this can be very time consuming but looks awesome when you're done.

You can see a picture of the way my hair looks in my myspace pictures if you are interested.

Hope this gives you a little help.

The chances of going curly are high, but if you inherited your father's straight hair gene, it will not go curly.
