I've had straight hair forever, and I can't even use a curling iron without using two bottles of hair spray. My hair is about mid-back length and dyed. I'm worried about getting a perm with dyed hair, but I'm sick of having stick-straight hair. Is there any other way to get the curls I want without getting sleepless nights in curlers or spending every pay check on hair spray?

like wash your hair and put it on a bun when its wet
and like the bottoms of it afterwards are like sort of curlled

Try taking it to your hairdresser! They might be able to do something!

not really, you should just get a perm, it is a simple solution and usually you can find a decent price if you look hard

after you get out of the shower, with your hair still wet, put gel in it %26amp; mousse. the "scrunch" it with ur fingers. then mix it all up and put all ur hair in a sloppy bun on top of your hair. go to sleep with that and your hair will be wavy/curly the next morning guaranteed! =D

It would seem no one is happy with what they have in the way of hair. I have naturally wavy hair and I wish I could tame it more readily. But its ok as is. I don't like the look of a perm personally. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I would try hot rollers-the kind with veloury foam around them. Leave them in while you do your make-up and take them out, but let them cool completely before combing or messing with them. Cooling a curl is the key to keeping the curl. Hope this helps. I wouldn't advise a perm unless you just get a body wave.

Put gel or mousse in it right after you get in the shower and scrunch it really really good and blow dry it on low with a diffuser and put some hair spray in it at the same time you are blow drying it. The heat causes the hairspray and gel to harden and it lasts longer

Why make it curly? If it's straight, KEEP it! It's the new style anyway, I bet loads of people envy you because you don't have to spend over an hour straightening your hair like the rest of us! Don't over-dew(ya, I made a funny) the hairspray, please, your hair is burning a hole in the ozone layer and costing you your paycheck. I say keep it straight, you always want what you can't have, so the second it's curly, you'll just want it straight. If you really want it strait though, try using a shampoo and conditioner specifically for curls, I would recomend the John Freida bottles with the purple caps(4-got the names), if you get thoses and the spray stuff, then your hair may stay in curls, but I don't know, I would have to see your hair. Good luck with whatever you choose!

I think that you should go to a drug store or hair store and buy the shampoo that turns your straight hair into curly hair and see if that might work.
