Pin straight hair...as straight as possible!?

I have very curly hair (I'm biracial), and so I flatiron the curls with my sedu flatiron. However, when I get down to the ends of my hair, it doesn't straighten nearly as well. I'm a fan of the pin-straight hair look, and I want to accomplish the style with my own hair. However, the ends don't like being straightened. I mean, I do sorta get them straight, but they are dry and a little brittle. Please help.

By the way, my hair is not breaking or anything like that...I'm not looking for a protecting product.

Matrix has a product line called Sleek Look http://www.matrix.com/products/sleek_loo... you can find pretty inexpensively at any salon makes AWESOME straightening products to help your hair go straight. My daughter is bi-racial too and doesn't always want her hair curly. Check out the above website for lots of detailed instructions on styling your hair from professionals who really know what they're doing with products that will work for you.

One of my sister in laws has very curly hair that she has chemically straightened at the salon. Her hair remains straight all the time. You can also talk to your stylist about trimming then ends of your hair differently to help it stay straight throughout the day. I don't mean anything that would change the style of your hair but a cutting technique that would help you achieve the results that you want. A little hair "wax" at the ends of your hair may also help your hair stay straight.

Ok to get pin straight hair you need a ceramic flat iron. I find that Garnier Fructis fizz control shampoo, conditioner, and smoothing milk works best. Use the smoothing milk when your hair is still damp.

When straightening you hair turn the straightener out so it seems like your hair is almost being 'bent'. it works better the keeping at the same angle as your hair.

My hair is naturally curly but this works wonders for me!~!~!

P.S. I tried permanently straightening it at a salon and it did nothing. It was a lot of money for just burning off a layer of hair... total crap!

I have the same problem and I use Sunsilk Straighten Up, its in a purple bottle and its with all of the other hair products in the store. Its amazing! Keeps everything straight and reduces fly-aways too! And it doesn't feel heavy on your hair so you don't walk around feeling like you have product on your hair.
