-Anything about smoothing milks either?

-Does anyone have any ideas how to straighten hair without chemicals or any type of heat?also...

-What brand of shampoo and conditioner actually works to straighten hair?(don't mention herbal essences or panteen please!!)

Your best bet to find a real way would be to go to a hair salon and ask cause alot of stuff is fake.

suave has a kind of shampoo that makes your hair look sleek and shiny (i think it's called 'suave sleek and shiny' or something), so that might help.

I know you said no on the straightener, but they do make ceramic ones now that give minimal heat damage. You could get some of that shampoo that is heat-activated to protect your hair too. There's really no easy way other than that.

If you look through the hair care aisle at any place like walmart, targat, or which ever type of place is near you, you will find lots of straightening products that are not chemicals. I have extremely curly hair and i straighten my hair all the time. I, however, use a straightener but you can by a smoothing product and then use a blow dryer and a brush and pull the curl out. It takes time and patience. I also find it easier to wash my hair at night, let it air dry and then straighten it in the morning. I totally sympathize with the way that curly hair and be untamed. Good luck, and dont be afraid to use a straightener. If you condition your hair and dont straighten it everyday it won't fry it!

Shampoo: I'd say use Sunsilk. It's a purple bottle, I have a friend who uses it and it does wonders for her hair. There's a shampoo and a special cream thing...I dunno, try it. =)

I have natural hair that's similar to yours, so I know exactly what you mean. Unfortunately, with this kind of hair it's nearly impossible to get straight hair without using a straightener, so you might have to break down and use one. I know you're probably worried about damaging your hair, but if you follow these steps you'll be fine; this works for me and I have very healthy hair:

1. Use Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine shampoo and conditioner.

2. Towel-dry your hair

3. Comb it and use leave-in Sleek and Shine (it comes in a small, round bottle).

4. Blow dry your hair, using a round brush (this will take some of the wave out). Make sure your hair is completely dry!

5. Use a ceramic straightener on your hair. My favorite is the Conair Ceramic Technology straightener (it's black - you can get it at Target, Wal-Mart, etc. for under twenty dollars). This one won't damage your hair like the metal ones and leaves you with very straight hair.

This is what I do every morning, and my hair is very healthy.

I have the same problem. the only thing that works for me is Redken all soft shampoo and conditioner, also I have to blow dry my hair then use a curling iron to get the ends smooth. I also use smooth down-heat glide by redken

Good luck

calm down... of you don't want to use chemicals or str8eners i just tried matrix's hair str8ing serum.... I put a little water in a stray bottle sprayed sections of my hair, then put a little of the serum on it... i put in some really big ugly twists or braids if you prefer and slept on them... in the Moroni i took them out... that worked for me... also you could use stuff like jam or simply braid or twist your hair.... I hope this helps...

you could try shampoos or other products that suppose to straighten hair but the hair wrapping thing does exist so you could go to a salon and have then do that, thats probably the best way to do it without using a straightener or chemicals good luck
