I see girls out with really straight hair and i would like mine to be like that, but everything i try doesnt seem to try. Im using john friedas steps 1-5 and decent hair straightners. my hair is shoulder lengh, quite thick and i have got layerswhich wont go straight. Anyone help please? Id love to know what products all you girls use, please tell me!

I also have layers but GHD straighteners work fine....however it will only go straight if you straighen the top layer then the bottom layer, otherwise your bottom layer will flick out. Hope that helps :-D

I don't know anything about products, but I do know that there are straightening irons you can buy. I got one at Family Dollar for $10. Works okay, but not great. My hair stylist has one that works much better. I'm sure hers is way more expensive. I guess it's one of those things that you get what you pay for.

Depending on what type of hair you have there are several options. You really need a good conditioner and a good ceramic flat iron. There are a lot of products you can use to aid the straightening process. One real good one is Rusk Thermal STR8. You spray this on before you use the flat iron.

You can also try using this before you blow dry your hair using a huge round brush. It is pretty multifunctional.

Please do not straighten your hair. Wavy/curly hair is cute. Just add a pea size amount of gloss to some strong hold gel and smooth through your hair. Let it air dry or use a diffuser. The more your straighten it, it will look like a haystack!

make sure u wash your hair everyday, and then hotoil every week or every other week, u can just buy your own hot oil creme and apply yourself at home, then just use a hair permer or its sometimes called hair iron...

hair iron really works.... doesnt need ot be an expensive iron though......

They either have naturally straight hair or they do what I do...use one of those conair straightening irons. I have very wavy hair, and that thing really works. Just dampen your hair, then start up by ur scalp and move slowly down towards the bottom. That's all

Oh, I know what you mean! I have naturally curly hair and I've always wanted it to be straight... Finally, after 17 years, I gave up ;) Way too much work! And every time I straighten it, it always curls back. However, my hair dresser successfully does it! She uses a Chi flat iron (these overly expensive irons cost about 200$ - but they're the key to a very straight look, I guess) she also uses Redken Smooth Down HEAT GLIDE and ends with Redken 09 WORKFORCE hairspray... Well, this works!

you need to get a good straighterner i have very thick hair and its curly underneath and wavyish on the top what you need to do is tie the top up while you do underneath then let it down and striaghten again it helps me...

Secondly, just use any good quality shampoo and conditioner for your hair type.

Thirdly, place your hair in sections before straightening. you need to work from the bottom of the hair, and take the straightener to the root. You will need to comb the area prior to straightening and sometimes repeat.

If your hair is dry, spray with a protective spray. GHD do a good one.

Then your hair will be perfectly straight. I used other straighteners before GHDs and they did not work!

I had the same problem with my hair, it was very much the same as the way u described yours, but there is one more solution i found a chinese hairdressers that can actually straighten hair properly the whole process takes about 5-6 hours, the cost is about 鎷?60, seems alot but it is well worth it, it also lasts for about 9-10 months and u dont need to use hot combs or any other stuff. so maybe find ur local chinese hair salon...
