well, if u put a few thin blonde streaks that are scattered everywhere, it would look amazing with straight or curly hair! Now, if u want amazing straight hair, u straighten it at home with a Conair straightener and if u think it looks good then i suggest u get it permanently straight!

You can buy a box of hair straightener from walmart for 5-6 dollars. It keeps your hair straight for a few months, so if you don't like it straight, it's no big deal because your curls will come back in a few months. Or you buy a flat iron and straighten itdaily which is time consuming. Of course you can try anything you want to; it's your hair, your body. Go for it if you want to try it!! Good luck too!

get a blow dryer, wash your hair, after it is washed, blow dry your hair while combing it. this works for me and i am a guy!!!

There is a product on television that many women I know have used and recommend. It does not dry or fry your hair.

i like curly hair personally so just go to the drugstore and get some curl enhancer(sp.??) and use it as needed.. that's what I use, but I like straightning my hair too.

im black....my hair is a little coarse and its poofy and i dont know what product to use to straighten it. I use a ceramic straightening comb by Gold and Hot. It gets it pretty straight, But it curls at the end and i want it straight straight straight! So what products would you use to get a black persons hair to be deadly straight? .....by the way....i DONT HAVE A PERM, IVE NEVER HAD 1, AND I DONT PLAN ON GETTING 1. thanks
Use the hot comb to get the majority of the curl out, and a flat iron to get the ends straight. It's really difficult to make the ends straight with a hot comb...A good flat iron would really be better than the hot comb (and yes I do know how to use both and have experience with black and white hair).
try coconut Oil.....thats the one i always use...i straight my hair everyday and if i dont use the coconut it it gets really poofy by the end of the day.......i really really recommend it.... u can fin it at walgreens or at any beauty supply its really cheap like 3 dollars u cant find the coconut oil try blue magic is the same thing..... just put it before you straight it...

Ok well 3 or 4 years ago i got my hair braided.3 months later i got them taken out.Since then my hairs now frizzy and thick.My hair use to be naturally straight and shiny untill i got the braids.Does anyone have any ideas how i could get my straight hair back?
Could cutting all my hair off be an answer?

I wouldn't cut it all off, just wait it out. Use a good smoothing conditioner (I like Biolage) and a flat iron afterwards.

I had a similar thing happen - I had long straight hair, and my cousin - whom I was compared to my entire life, got a short hair cut. So my mother made me get mine cut too. From then on, I've had wavy hair. I really think our hair changes as we get older. I have to flat iron my hair all the time now.
Just use good products, I like Biolodge and Hiku brand hair products - they both seem to keep my hair looking healthiest.

Try using a flat iron every day. My hair used to be super curly/wavy, but after using a flat iron every day it still curls a little but not as much as it did before becuase I have trained it to be straight. Also try using some straighting prodcuts such as gel or cream before using the flat iron. Now these days they have straighting shampoo and conditioners. Good Luck!!
Details: I have very naturally straight and fine hair, which is mid-back in length, and I have dyed black for many years now. When I wash it, I blow dry it which makes it kind of frizzy so then I have to flat iron it. The problem is, the flat iron flattens my hair TOO much so it looks limp. I have tried very nice, expensive products on my hair, i.e. serums, leave in treatments, hot oils, weekly treatments, so it is soft and shiny but it just either has volume and is frizzy or is flat but limp.. Help me!
I did this for a special occasion - before you flat iron - put your serum on the lower part ONLY of your hair - and put some volumizer spray and /or mousse on your roots. Keep that spray handy.
my stylist showed me this next move - use a brush to pull your hair from the roots in the OPPOSITE direction as it falls - and blow dry in sections. also helps to blow dry from underneath - and let your hair cool for a few seconds before coming up. (hair folicles are opened with heat %26amp; close when cool) - use spray during this process - a light spray on the roots - especially on the crown of your head.
then, when that is done, most of the rest of your hair will be dry - and you can iron it. don't pull too much - as this will pull down some of your volumizing work.

same problem here. i straighten my hair then i take sections and put them on the opposite side of my head and hair spray at the root tips and then blow dry the hair spray dry, then i brush it so it doesn't stand up all crazy and i find that really helps. good luck. there is also this shampoo and conditioner that TRULY works. it's a red tall skinny bottle (and it's cheap) ummmm, what's the brand. it's for volumizing hair, sorry i cant remember the name.
try using a volumizing product before or after you straighten your hair.
Have you tried flat ironing your hair while your head is upside down? You can either flat-iron the roots, which will make it come out more at the roots, or you can blow dry again at the roots,which will have the same effect. You can also possibly take some anti-frizz cream, rub it between your hands, and flip your head and rub a little at the roots, that'll make it voluminous too.
Hmm, maybe blow dry your hair upright at the roots to give more volume (not upside down) and then don't straighten your hair from your roots, leave a few inches gap.

I am a guy who has thick, straight hair. I'm sure other guys have a problem like this too. My hair is deep red with a tint of brown. Where my cowlick is my hair gets fuzzy after I wash it. I have medium length to long hair but I can't find anything that looks good because of my THICK hair. Any suggestions, pictures, or website that will help?
If your hair is really that thick then have a stylist thin it out a bit with "Thinning Shears" and add layers to give the hair texture and versatility with style.

Don't shamppo too much. it actually dries out your hair. Use a conditioner every time you wash it, anything that's labeled as 'moisturizing'.
