Actually I have no idea about any hair styles, but i would like to straight my hair with not too expensive($50-100)..Atleast it does stay for 2 months. I have already straightening kit with me, but this time I wanna give a try with salons. so, my qst is,

Have you already used the straightener on your hair? if you have I wouldn't do a perm for awhile afterwards just to give your hair a break. If you want it straight for a little while I wouldn't perm it. A hair straightener will just relax your curl. How curly/wavy is your hair?

yes for a around $100 u can get ur hair professionally relaxed, and it's permanent. best method of straightening ur hair w/o relaxing it would be to use a ceramic hair straightener (CHI straighteners work really good)

Perms make your hair curly. They have straightening kits at wal mart for seven dollars or so, but I don't know how well they work. I like Chi straighteners, they keep my hair really straight, even when it's humid.

If you have really curly hair, it might not work. I used a relaxer designed for black people and I still have to flatiron. You can get your hair pretty straight, but don't think you'll get a perm and have it be "wash-n-go"... you will still have to flatiron.

Best way to go is learn to flatiron and blow dry properly. But yeah, there is a straight perm you can get done... it's kind of expensive on longer hair (cost me 250 bucks, wasn't really worth it). There is the "Japanese Perm" also, but I've heard mixed reviews of how it works. Some people say it damages the hair to the point where it simply can't curl up any more, others say it "conditions" to get rid of the curls. Either way, it's wicked expensive and only lasts a couple months. If you have money to burn, try the Japanese Perm, but don't be surprised if it doesn't work the way you want.
