Straight Hair Question!?

I usually wear my hair straight and at first its nice and straight but after a couple of hours my hair starts getting wavy and a little poofy. How can I get my hair to stay straight all day w/o having to use hairspray?

Before blowing it dry add frizz ease to the ends (weighs the hair down) and spray with a leave in conditioner (also weighs hair down). Using a hair straighter will keep it straighter longer. Keep away from humidity.

All of the moisture from the products help keep humidity in the air from absorbing and causing it to curl. Plus it looks shiny and flowing.

use a straightening balm that can withstand the heat and humidity like Matrix Smoothing line,. It is really good, or you could try like a pomade it is really lite. whatever you do do not go to wal mart and by cheap stuff it is really not that good. go to a salon and ask for matrix smoothing or paul mitchell stuff. they can help you out. It is awesome stuff you will be addicted to buying that stuff!

honestly, there really isnt a good answer to that. hair is different and if it is naturally wavey, you cant get it to hold without hairspray. Straightening works best when there is 0 humidity in the air, because moisture practically reverses it, in the summer time, it will poof faster. in the winter you may have more luck seeing as the hair is a bit dryer.

Haven't tried because my hair is naturally straight. Heard that ceramic straighteners work well and make ur hair shiny. Try it out.

I've got this problem, but I've found the answer for me. Maybe it'll work for you. I use Sebastian shampoo and conditioner, then I use Ion straightening lotion. After that, I use a straightener. It doesn't take as long as it sounds, but it really works and my hair stays straight all day. Seriously, my hair can look like Carrot Top (when it was short) if it airdries. I've also heard that Ion shampoo and conditioner works really well, too.

Let your hair do its own thing and don't worry about its natual texture that is what it is meant to be like. Love your hair! Go out and buy a good shampoo and conditioner that works with your hair type. And you will be just fine :)

I used 2 have that problem 2! Just go 2 Target or something n look 4 pantene pro-v that's in a light brown bottle! it's called for women of color. I'm not african american which is what it's meant 2 b 4 but it still works! Now I use Matrix smoothing line styling creme!

if you are not ethnic do not use a relaxer on your hair. there are products out there that work excellent on promoting frizzing and fly aways.. one good one that i have used in the salon was by Redkin..trying to recall name...it comes in a little tiny bottle. but you only had to use a little and it would go a long way. check it out at a Redkin dealer...i forget the name of the bottle.

buy a spray bottle. put in a 1:1 ratio milk to water. shake it up and spray it on your hairwhile its still wet from the shower (like leave in conditioner). your hair might not feel as soft as usual but it will keep it stick straight.
