One of my friends has the same problem, and here is something that works for her. Use a smoothing or straightening shampoo and apply a moisturizing conditioner. Leave it in for at least 10 minutes before you rinse it out, and don't use extremely hot water, which can also increase frizz. Afterwards, towel dry your hair and apply John Freida's Frizz-Ease Hair Serum (found at the grocery store or drugstore). After that, separate your hair into 2 sections, a top section and a bottom section. Clip the top section up and start blow drying the bottom section, using a paddle brush (a large, square flat brush). Once the bottom section is done, do the top section the same way.

Once your hair is completely dry, take a straighening iron and run it through your hair. Its important that your hair is completely dry, because any moisture left in your hair will cause it to frizz. After you're done with the straightening iron, apply John Freida's Secret Weapon Finishing Cream to your hair. Its like a cream that will smooth out your hair and makes it extra shiny.

Watch out for anti frizz products that contain a lot of water (Frizz Ease and most others) or alcohol (Biosilk). They are less effective and cause you to use more than you need to get good results. Or the alcohol can dry out your hair. Look around for a pure silicone product like Simply Stylin'. You just need a little bit and it keeps the frizz away. Plus it makes your hair soft and shiny. www.simplystylinhair.com.
